Engels - Ailenin, Özel Mülkiyetin ve Devletin Kökeni - 4. baskının önsözü

"Mac Lennan'a göre , yalnızca üç evlilik biçimi vardır: çok karılılık (polygamie, çok kocalılık (polyandriie) ve karı-koca evliliği (mariage conjugal). Ama konu üzerinde dikkatle durulunca, gelişmemiş halklar arasında, bir dizi erkeğin, bir dizi kadına ortaklaşa sahip olmaları şeklindeki evlilik biçimlerinin varlığıyla ilgili birçok kanıtlar bulundu ve Lubbock (The Origin of Civillisation, 1870) bu grup halinde evliliği (Communal Marriage) tarihsel bir olgu olarak kabul etti." (s.22-23)

Engels, önsözde inatla aile biçimlerinin tarihten günümüze tek formda kalmadığı, birçok değişiklik geçirdiğini dile getiriyor. Ve bu değişimlerin evrilerek, belli sebeplere dayalı olarak dönüştüğünü söylüyor. Bu arada yukarıdaki alıntıda "sahip olma" ifadesi dikkatimi çekti, http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/download/pdf/origin_family.pdf sitesinden İngilizce metnini buldum. Orada aynı paragraf şu şekilde;

"Facts were now already coming to light in increasing number which did not fit into his neat framework. McLennan knew only three forms of marriage: polygyny, polyandry and monogamy. But once attention had been directed to the question, more and more proofs were found that there existed among undeveloped peoples forms of marriage in which a number of men possessed a number of women in common, and Lubbock (The Origin of Civilization, 1870) recognized this group marriage (“communal marriage”) as a historical fact."

İlk anlama bakılırsa, bir ev, araba gibi bir objeye sahip olmak anlamındaymış. O halde çeviride bu şekilde kontrol ettiğimde de bir sorun gözükmüyor. Bu ifade hala da epey kullanılan bir ifade ki büyük ihtimalle Engels kitabın ilerisinde bu ifadeden yola çıkarak sahip olmak = mülkiyet edinmek denkleminden yola çıkacak diye düşünüyorum.
